Tiered Prices Explained: More Items, Lower Unit Price
In short
The more items you order, the lower the unit price. The tiers start at 10 pieces and go up to 500 pieces; from 1,000 items there is an individual project price. The tier applies to the total quantity of all products in an enquiry – so if you order T-shirts, hoodies and polo shirts together, you benefit from the overall number.
What are tiered prices?
Tiered prices mean: the unit price falls as the order quantity rises. This is common in textile printing, because set-up effort and fixed costs are spread over more items. At macherkleidung.de there are fixed tiers at 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 pieces – the prices are net, including printing, with no set-up costs. From 1,000 items an individual project price is agreed, tailored to your specific needs.
How is the tier determined?
The tier depends on the total quantity of all items in an enquiry, not on the quantity of a single product type. If you order 20 T-shirts and 15 hoodies, the total quantity of 35 pieces applies – so you land in the tier from 25 pieces, not the one from 50. This makes it attractive to bundle different products in one enquiry: T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and caps all count together. Important: the tier applies uniformly to all items of the order.
How to benefit most from the tiers
If you are just below a tier threshold – e.g. 23 items instead of 25 – it is worth checking whether two or three additional items make up for the jump in cost. Work out the total price for 23 pieces and compare it with the price for 25 pieces: often the cheaper tier ends up being cheaper overall, especially if you can use the extra items as a reserve or for new colleagues. Including apprentices, interns or seasonal staff can also raise the tier.
No set-up costs – what that means
At macherkleidung.de there are no set-up costs. This is a significant difference from some other providers who charge extra fees for setting up the print or embroidery. The tiered prices shown include printing (chest logo and back design for tops, logo position for caps, beanies and trousers) – you pay no hidden surcharge for print preparation.

Frequently asked questions
Do all product groups count together for the tier?
Yes. The total quantity of all items in an enquiry determines the tier. T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, jackets and caps in one order are added together. This gives you a real advantage with mixed orders.
What is an individual project price from 1,000 pieces?
From a total quantity of 1,000 items, the price is negotiated individually, because special production and logistics conditions are possible at such quantities. Just write to us with your needs and we will draw up a tailor-made offer.
Do the tiered prices also apply to reorders?
Yes, each enquiry is assessed by the total quantity ordered. If you place a reorder of 10 items, the tier from 10 pieces applies. It is not possible to combine an earlier order with a new one to reach a cheaper tier.
