Print Approval Explained: Why It Matters and How It Works
In short
The print approval is the written confirmation in which you, as the client, declare that design, colours, positions and sizes are correct and production may start. Without this approval, macherkleidung.de does not begin production – this protects you from mistakes and us from misunderstandings. Only after the approval does the delivery time start: standard 5 working days, express 48 h or 24 h.
What exactly is the print approval?
The print approval is a written step in the ordering process in which you review a preview or summary of the order – design, placement, colours, sizes, quantities – and release it with your consent. This step is binding: after the approval, production begins. Changes are no longer possible afterwards. The approval gives you the certainty that exactly what you approved is produced – no more, no less.
What is checked before the approval?
Before you give the approval, macherkleidung.de checks on its side: Is the logo available in print-ready quality? Are the colour values correct and reproducible? Do stock and production capacity fit the desired date? On your side you check: Is the design preview correct? Are all positions (chest, back) correct? Are sizes and quantities right? This mutual check prevents thousands of shirts from being delivered with a wrong logo or a wrongly placed embroidery.
How does the approval process work?
After your enquiry, your request is reviewed personally – logo, stock and deadline. You then receive a preview or approval documents that you confirm in writing. Only with this confirmation does production start. The delivery time – whether standard 5 working days or express – starts from the moment of approval. This means: the faster you review and approve the documents, the sooner the clothing arrives.
Common mistakes to avoid before the approval
Wrong colour specifications: logo files with RGB colours sometimes have to be converted to print colours (process colours) – ask beforehand whether your file is print-ready. Wrong size total: check the total number once more against your team list. Wrong product name or model: make sure you have approved the model you want (standard or premium). The more carefully you check before the approval, the smoother production runs.
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to sign the print approval in person?
No, the approval is given in writing, for example by email. You confirm that you have checked the preview and that production should start. A handwritten signature is generally not required.
What happens if we forget or delay the approval?
The delivery time only starts from the approval – not from the enquiry date. If you delay the approval, the delivery automatically shifts as well. With express orders this is particularly critical: if the approval only comes in the afternoon, the 24-hour clock only starts then.
Can I still change colours or sizes after the approval?
No. After the written approval, production begins and changes are no longer possible. Use the time before the approval to agree all details with your team. If you are unsure, explicitly ask for clarification before the approval.
