Embroidered Caps with Logo: Embroidery or Print?

In short

On caps the chest logo can be either printed or embroidered; the standard position is the front of the cap. Embroidery looks more premium and lasts longer with frequent washing, but requires a simplified logo without very fine lines. Print allows more detail and colour accuracy, but is less common on caps. When you enquire, ask which method suits your logo.

Embroidery vs. print on caps

Embroidery is the more classic method for caps: the logo is stitched directly into the fabric, which is very durable and survives intensive washing. Embroidery looks premium and is often the first thing customers notice. The downside: very fine lines, thin lettering and complex colour gradients cannot be reproduced exactly by embroidery – the design may need to be simplified. Print on caps is more precise for details, but depends more on the material structure and the cap – with structured caps (e.g. with a peak edge) there are mechanical limits.

The caps in the range

The range includes two cap models: the standard cap Atlantis AT502 “Start Five” in 13 colours and the premium cap Flexfit FX6277 “Wooly Combed” in more than 30 colours. Thanks to its elastic inner band without a snap closure, the Flexfit cap is particularly comfortable and fits universally. Both models are suitable for chest (front) printing with your company logo. For trade and service companies, navy, black or green are popular colours; for hospitality or creative industries, more striking shades are also an option.

Logo design for caps: what works well

The logo on a cap is usually smaller than the chest logo on a shirt, because the front of the cap offers limited space. Clear shapes, few colours and easily legible fonts work best. Logos with very fine details – such as thin outlines or small text elements under 5 mm in height – are hard to realise in embroidery. Raise this when you enquire, so that we can check together whether your logo is suitable for caps or whether a slight simplification makes sense.

Caps as part of a team outfit set

Caps complement a team outfit set well, especially for outdoor work in summer: tradespeople on the building site, service teams at trade fairs, hospitality teams at the serving counter. Since caps cost less than tops, a few extra caps can easily lift the tier to a cheaper level. All ordered items in an enquiry count together for the tier – a good reason to include caps in the overall order.

Frequently asked questions

Can any logo be embroidered?

Most logos can be embroidered, but very fine lines, thin lettering or complex colour gradients can only be reproduced to a limited technical extent. When you enquire, we check your logo and give feedback on whether a simplification is needed. A vector file is the best basis.

Which colours are available for caps?

The standard cap comes in 13 colours, including black, navy, green, red, grey and white. The premium Flexfit cap offers more than 30 colours. Check the product overview for the exact colour names – the selection is wider than for most tops.

Is there a minimum order quantity for caps?

The minimum quantity for online guide prices is 10 pieces – this applies to all products, including caps. If you combine caps with other products, all items count together for the tier.
