Workwear for drywall installers with logo
Drywall installers erect stud walls, board them with plasterboard and fit suspended ceilings in office buildings, flats and industrial halls. Plaster dust is their constant companion, and mineral wool leaves an itch on the skin and fibres in the fabric. Macherkleidung.de supplies team clothing for drywall companies that works on shell construction sites and looks professional to the client.

How drywall companies work
The morning begins on a new-build site: metal studs are set up and screwed according to the plan, the first layer of plasterboard is cut and fixed. When cutting the boards with a utility knife or jigsaw, fine plaster dust is produced that settles into every fabric within hours and leaves it white. When processing mineral wool in the wall and ceiling, fibres spread through the air – onto sleeves and collars. When filling the board joints, further splashes occur. In the afternoon, when the site manager does the progress inspection, the team should look recognisable and uniform.
Tolerance of plaster dust
Cutting and boarding plasterboard produces fine white dust that settles into all fabrics. Darker fabrics make this dust look less dramatic; coarse weaves shake it off more easily when beaten out than fine microfibres.
Fibre protection when working with mineral wool
When installing mineral wool insulation boards, fibres spread through the air and settle on clothing and skin. Close-fitting sleeves and a T-shirt collar protect the forearms better than loose, dust-raising garments. Change and wash clothing immediately after contact with mineral wool.
Work in different construction phases and temperatures
In shell construction in winter it is cold in the unconditioned shell; in summer on the same floor it is tropically hot. A layering system of T-shirt and sweatshirt covers both extremes.
Visibility compared with other trades
On an active building site with electricians, painters and plumbing teams, uniform company clothing allows quick identification. For site managers and general contractors, a recognisable drywall team is a sign of professional company organisation.

Colours and logo
Grey and anthracite match the plaster-dust look of drywall and make white dust look less dominant than navy or black. White is the bold variant, which communicates the trade directly – plaster dust is then deliberately part of the look.

For drywall teams we recommend direct print on T-shirts and sweatshirts with the company name on the back – the logo is visible to site managers and other trades when boarding, even when you stand with your back to the wall. On polo shirts for client appointments an embroidered logo is worthwhile, surviving plaster-dust washes for longer.

Frequently asked questions from drywall companies
How do I get plaster dust out of team clothing?
Plaster dust can usually be washed out well – it is water-soluble and is rinsed out in a normal wash. It is important to wash the clothing as soon as possible, before the dust bakes deep into the fibres. Please always follow the care label so as not to damage the print and the fabric.
Do drywall installers need PPE when working with mineral wool?
Yes – when processing mineral wool, respiratory protection (at least FFP1) and safety glasses are mandatory, as mineral fibres can irritate the airways. This PPE is not part of our range. Our team clothing complements required protective equipment but does not replace it.
Which colour do you recommend for drywall teams?
Grey and anthracite are the most practical colours, because plaster dust appears in similar shades and looks visually less dominant on these colours. Anyone who wants to make a deliberate trade statement with white T-shirts can do so – plaster dust then becomes visually part of the trade's image.
Can we also order clothing for foremen and supervisors separately from the fitter team?
Yes – different models can be combined in one enquiry. Foremen get e.g. polo shirts with an embroidered logo, fitters standard T-shirts. The total quantity of all items determines the tier price level.
We are starting a new project with 12 people – how do we approach the order?
Put together your needs online – T-shirts, trousers, jackets – and get a PDF guide price. Sizes do not have to be fixed yet. Then we check stock, logo and schedule, you approve in writing, and we deliver in 5 working days. From 50 pieces the price drops noticeably.
