Workwear for canteens with your logo

In the canteen, the team serves hundreds of employees of a company or institution every day – reliability and hygiene are central. For serving and service we deliver printed shirts and polos from 10 pieces, with no set-up costs. Uniform work clothing makes the kitchen team recognisable at the serving line and underlines a professional operation.

In short

At Macherkleidung.de, Canteens get T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, work trousers, caps and beanies with a logo – from 10 units, printing included, with no setup fees. A printed T-shirt for your team starts at €5.50 excl. VAT, delivered in 5 working days after design approval.

How Canteens work

The early shift begins with goods receiving and preparation: chopping vegetables, putting pots on, setting up the hot-holding lines. At lunchtime the serving line and checkout area run at full speed; a team dressed uniformly looks professional and part of the organisation to the hundreds of people who pass through daily to collect their meal. In the dishwashing area, humidity and high temperatures prevail. After service, cleaning begins: clothing is put to the test again here. Canteens in industrial plants or hospitals have particularly strict procedures; uniform clothing is part of that.

Serving line & customer contact

At the food serving line, staff meet the whole company or institution. A polo shirt or T-shirt with a logo makes canteen staff instantly recognisable and contributes to a more professional service image.

Kitchen & dishwashing area

In the kitchen and dishwashing area, heat, steam and moisture are everyday. Clothing must withstand frequent washes at high temperatures; the care label of each product states the maximum washing temperature.

Hygiene-compliant appearance

Canteen operations are subject to food hygiene law requirements. Which clothing rules follow from that is determined by your own hygiene plan – our team clothing is general work clothing without HACCP (food safety) certification.

Multiple shifts & staff changes

Canteens often run early, late and occasionally evening shifts. Several garments per person and a uniform logo across all shifts ensure a consistent appearance – regardless of who is on duty.

Important: Our team clothing is general work clothing without HACCP (food safety) certification. Whether it meets your food hygiene requirements, please clarify based on your hygiene plan and the rules of your responsible authority.

Colours and logo

White is considered a hygiene signal in the catering kitchen and is common in canteen settings. Navy and black are more practical for serving and counter staff because sauce splashes are less noticeable and the clothing looks professional.

In canteens, the operator's company logo on the chest is recommended, easy to read for employees passing the serving line every day. For jackets and sweatshirts, a small back print adds recognisability in the kitchen. Print is the most sensible choice for canteen clothing; the washing frequency makes high-quality embroidery on functional garments less cost-effective.

Frequently asked questions from Canteens

Is the team clothing approved for food businesses?

Our team clothing is general work clothing without HACCP (food safety) certification. Whether it meets your food hygiene law requirements depends on your own hygiene plan and the rules of your responsible authority.

How many garments does a canteen worker need per shift?

As a minimum kit we recommend three T-shirts per person so that they can be changed daily. In kitchen environments with heavy soiling, a daily change between early shift and afternoon can also make sense.

Can I order different items for kitchen staff and serving staff?

Yes. Many canteens choose T-shirts for the kitchen and dishwashing area and polo shirts for the visible serving station. Both item groups are combined in one enquiry – the total quantity determines the tiered price.

Can we show the logo of the company the canteen is run for?

You decide the logo on the clothing – whether company corporate identity, your operator logo or a combination of both. You state the design in the enquiry; we check it and create a guide price on that basis.

How quickly can we reorder for new hires?

Reorders are possible from 10 pieces. With an approved design we deliver in 5 working days. For individual new arrivals we recommend keeping a small stock in common sizes.
