How glazing businesses work
Glazing work demands utmost care: cutting glass in the workshop, transporting panes with suction lifters and racks, fitting insulating glass into window frames and installing glass facades on scaffolding. Glass dust from cutting and grinding, sealant and silicone residues and marks from protective films leave traces on clothing every day. At the end customer's, whether a household repair after a break-in or a new conservatory, the team is in direct customer contact and represents the business.
Sleeve freedom when transporting
Glass panes are moved with suction lifters and with considerable physical effort. Tight sleeves or constricting seams in the shoulder area are impractical and potentially dangerous.
Silicone resistance
Silicone and sealants can be removed more easily from smoother textiles than from roughened fleece surfaces. Dense woven fabric or jersey materials are more practical for glaziers.
Customer impression in private settings
Household repairs after glass breakage or a break-in are situations in which the customer is stressed. Uniform, clean clothing with the company name signals reliability immediately.
Weather protection on exterior installations
Glass facades and conservatory installations take place in all weather. Wind- and rain-proof jackets with a logo are part of the exterior installation kit.

Colours and logo
Navy looks friendly and professional on customer jobs and hides glass dust and silicone residues well. Grey is an understated alternative for businesses with a light corporate look, black for pure workshop kit.

On T-shirts and sweatshirts, a back print with company name and phone number is recommended: it makes the team identifiable at the end customer's. For polo shirts in direct customer conversation, embroidery on the chest is worthwhile: it survives silicone contact and frequent washing without peeling. For exterior installations on facades, the logo on the softshell jacket is the most visible advertising space.

Frequently asked questions from glazing businesses
Which material is easiest to clean after silicone contact?
Smooth jersey or dense twill lets silicone be peeled off more easily after curing than heavily roughened fleece. Cotton jersey T-shirts are therefore better suited for glazing work than hoodie inner pile surfaces. Note any solvent residue instructions on the care label.
Can I use the same logo for workshop and exterior installation?
Yes. The design is the same on all product groups, and you decide when enquiring which products get which design. If you prefer a smaller logo for polo shirts than for T-shirts, tell us when enquiring.
How quickly is clothing delivered when ordered urgently after glass damage?
The standard is 5 working days from approval of the print design. For express needs, there is 48 h and 24 h delivery for a surcharge. Whether and when that is possible, we clarify individually after your enquiry.
Can I also order glazing team clothing for apprentices?
Yes. Apprentices count towards the order quantity like all other employees. You state the total quantity when enquiring and tell us the size distribution before approval; sizes don't have to be fixed at first contact.
Are there setup costs for the first logo print?
No. Macherkleidung.de doesn't charge setup costs. From 10 pieces, guide prices are available online; the final price follows a check of stock, logo and date.
