How roofing companies work
The day starts with unloading the vehicle and carrying roof tiles or rolls of roofing felt up onto the scaffold – physically heavy work in which clothing must not tear. When laying bitumen membranes with the torch, radiant heat and occasional bitumen splashes come into play. In storms and rain, work has to carry on; anyone repairing water damage on a cold roof has no time for missing rain jackets. Heat resistance in bitumen work
Processing bitumen membranes with gas torches produces radiant heat and occasional bitumen splashes. Mid-weight cotton garments are superior to synthetic fibres under open radiant heat, as they have no melting point.

Colours and logo
Anthracite and black match the trade and make bitumen marks look less dominant than light colours. Navy is an alternative for companies that prefer a maritime or classic look.

Frequently asked questions from roofing companies
Do you offer high-visibility clothing for roofers?
No – we offer team clothing with a logo, but no certified high-visibility clothing or fall-protection equipment. Hard hats, safety shoes and fall protection are mandatory on roofing sites and have to be procured separately. Our clothing complements PPE but does not replace it.
Does the back print on the rain jacket withstand daily use?
Yes – rain jackets receive the same direct print as other tops. Please follow the care label and do not let the jacket shrink in the tumble dryer after washing. For heavily stressed surfaces we recommend print rather than embroidery, as embroidery sits less easily on hardshell material.
Can we also order clothing for our sheet-metal department?
Yes – sheet-metal workers and roofers can be combined in the same enquiry. Either you use the same design for everyone, or you define different line items with different back designs. The total quantity of all items determines the tier.
We need clothing for a job in two weeks – is that doable?
Standard delivery time is 5 working days from design approval. If you submit and approve the print-ready logo by Monday morning at the latest, we can deliver by Friday. For even tighter timing there is 48-hour express (+25 %) or 24-hour express (+50 %).
How do we avoid different employees forgetting to state their sizes?
You do not have to fix sizes definitively when you make the enquiry – collect them afterwards and submit them at approval. Macherkleidung.de delivers after written approval, so you have until approval to put all sizes together.
